QualTech NP has extensive experience in the support of Motor Control Centers (MCC) used in nuclear power plant applications. Our project scope can include evaluation, design, manufacturing, qualification, and supply of safety-related or commercial components. Solutions are available ranging from replacement components to retrofit kits to complete new MCC stacks. Replacement cubicles are engineered to the same form, fit and function of the original manufacturers equipment (OEM).

With over 10,000 electrical components qualified we can provide major components for all MCC manufacturers including ABB, Allis Chalmers, Cutler-Hammer, General Electric, Gould, ITE, Nelson Electric, Power Electric, Systems Control and Westinghouse.

Based on the end user's needs our engineers will develop drawings and wire diagrams that meet customer requirements. Once the design is finalized a prototype will be fabricated, functionally, dedicated. Operates in mild or hash envIronments In accordance with IEEE standards. Once customer approval is received production units will be manufactured and a Certificate of Compliance/Conformance will be issue stating the unit meets all end user's requirements.

We will assist the end user in the selection of appropriate components based on the project design requirements and brand preferences. In many case we will have already performed qualification testing for MCC system components such as buckets, breakers, starters and other electrical replacement parts. Supported manufacturers include Cutler-Hammer, Furnas, General Electric, Micron, Siemens and Square D.

All component evaluations meet the industry requirements stated in "Technical Evaluation" EPRI-NP6406/NCIG11 and "Verification and Acceptance of Replacement Items" EPRIN P5652/NCG07.

ITE, Gould, Rowan, Telemecanique

QualTech NP owns the original documentation for ITE, Gould, Rowan and Telemecanique MCCs. We maintain the existing records and continue servicing and supply replacement parts.
