With over 50,000 items dedicated, QualTech NP has the historical data, knowledge and experience necessary to assist with the dedication of commercial grade items for use in safety-related applications.
QualTech NP can purchase and dedicate items on a turn-key basis or simply provide dedication services. Our typical dedication process includes: a detailed Dedication Procedure, which includes technical evaluation, definition of critical characteristics for acceptance (based on safety function), acceptance criteria, acceptance test procedures and data sheets. We perform all required dedication testing, complete a final report, and issue a Certificate of Compliance or Conformance.
QualTech NP developed and maintains the CGD Project Center for the Utilities Service Alliance.

QualTech NP analyzes, tests, and qualifies materials and components under its 10 CFR 50, Appendix B and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) NQA-1 Nuclear Quality Assurance Program.
QualTech NP is audited by ASME, NIAC and NUPIC organizations. These audits include approvals of QualTech NP's commercial grade material dedication and other progressive quality programs designed to permit industrial manufacturer's continued participation in the nuclear industry.
We have been at the forefront of equipment obsolescence solutions through turnkey Commercial Grade Dedication, and equipment qualification.
QualTech NP provides reverse engineering services for parts that are no longer available, the OEM is no longer supporting the product or is no longer in business. Replacement parts are designed, built, inspected, tested, and certified to match the form, fit, and function of the original equipment.
With our teaming partner, PKMJ, we developed the Engineered Obsolescence Solutions (EOS) methodology which identifies obsolete equipment, prioritizes vulnerability, identifies hardware solutions and implements engineering packages utilizing site specific procedures.
Once the need is identified we can provide a "best fit" OBSOLUTION utilizing one of the seven types of utility recognized solutions to obsolescence: Surplus, Special Manufacturing Runs, Repair / Rebuilding, Cannibalization, Substitution, Reverse Engineering and Design Change.

QualTech NP provides nuclear grade spare parts for equipment used in nuclear power applications. Many OEMs have discounted support of their installed base of safety-related parts. We have qualified over 25,000 commercial-grade equivalents with the same form, fit and function as the original part. Our vast array of qualified products covers virtually every plant need, whether the part is large or small; electrical, I&C or mechanical; "one of" or "many of". Examples of our qualifications include: circuit breakers transmitters, electronic modules, actuators, battery chargers, and motors.
QualTech NP maintains two test facilities, one in Cincinnati, OH and on Huntsville, AL, where CGD is performed. Our NUPIC-audited facilities qualify equipment in accordance with EPRI NP5652, IEEE 323 and IEEE 344. QualTech NP has extensive experience in providing CGD services. Working with your team our engineers determine qualification and testing requirements and then submitted a dedication plan for your acceptance. On completion of the dedication process, a final report and all required documentation are submitted to you per your purchase order.
