NETCO-SNAP-IN® - is a patented neutron absorbing product that replaces lost reactivity control or augments installed neutron absorbers, extending the useful life of fuel storage racks. SNAP-IN inserts are installed in fuel storage cells using simple tooling, which is operated above the pool from the spent fuel pool bridge. Once installed, SNAP-IN inserts become an integral part of the fuel storage racks, allowing fuel to be readily moved in and out of the storage locations.
